Minimum requirements for radiotherapy centres treating patients in EORTC clinical trials.
1. Radiotherapy Facility Questionnaire (FQ)
You will find here also a pdf version to print and use to collect the information which should then be submitted on-line.
2. External Reference Dosimetry
The EORTC requires that all radiotherapy centres, treating patients in EORTC studies where radiotherapy is part of the treatment, complete and submit an FQ accompanied by the results of a recent (no older than 2 years) external reference dosimetry audit. The value of this in daily clinical practice has been described well by Bentzen et al (Eur J Cancer 36: 615-620, 2000)
Radiotherapy Centres wishing to request an audit may find information on one of the possibilities here
3. Emmanuel van der Schueren Quality Assurance Fellowship at the EORTC
4. Trial-specific Quality Assurance
A study may have specific quality assurance tasks which are described in the study protocol or the appendix.
For advice please contact facilityquest@eortc.be
5. Manager for Quality Assurance of RT at EORTC HQ, Brussels.
The manager's main task is to ensure the coordination of QA RT programmes across EORTC trials, and to be in charge of the FQ programme including the follow up for updates of external reference dosimetry audits.
